The Prayer City vision is to reach out to every Local Government Area (LGA) in the Cross River State. A five to seven day Solemn Assembly is conducted in each LGA. The ministry team will first liase with the local government officials, the traditional rulers and chiefs, and all the local church leaders before going on to conduct open air meetings. Thousands are reached through the eye-opening revelations of the drama group, the anointed preaching and teaching of the ministers and the resultant power confrontation which ensues. They cancel ancestral covenants and curses, and address the issues of idol worship, witchcraft and evil cults. The people receive deliverance and are released into the freedom of knowing and worshipping the true God through their response to the gospel. This is a very costly ministry requiring both sacrifice and anointing.
The outreach teams have been able to set up Prayer City Outreach Stations throughout the State.
From the 25th to 30th April 2006 a Solemn Assembly will be held in Obanliku Local Government Area, a distance of 340 kilometres and an expensive undertaking.
This is the name of the radio programme broadcast on Cross River Radio every Thursday for the past decade from 6:00am to 6:30am. Since 1996 this call has gone out to the people living in Calabar, the Cross River State, The Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. A call to abandon the occultic, satanic practices of their forefathers and to yield to the call of the gospel, the truths of the bible and above all a life of prayer. The powerful preaching has resulted in deliverance, healing and restoration. Certain messages have caused a sensation and have sometimes provoked antagonism.
PTAN Video films and live television programmes have frequently been shown on Cross River State Television in the past, but this ministry has been temporarily suspended due to the lack of skilled technicians, inadequate facilities and finances.
Prayer City has hosted a series of outstanding week-long Prayer Conferences held during the month of November which focus on spiritual warfare, prophetic prayer and action in the land - and prophetic teaching and preaching. The entire body of Christ comes together at these times to do battle with the forces of evil over the land. National and International speakers and anointed worship groups add breadth and depth to the ministry. The Prayer City drama wing demonstrates in an explicit way the devastating effects of sin and rebellion.
