Calabar Christian Action Movement

The Re-Birth of Calabar

Consequent upon the Solemn Assembly held at the Obong's Palace and convened by the Obong on the 1st and 2nd January 2005, the supporting ministers who formed the planning committee decided to sustain the move. They met and agreed to inaugurate a body called Calabar Christian Action Movement (CACAM), to push the vision forward into realization. CACAM is by courtesy of Prayers To All Nations (PTAN) because it was born within the INTERNATIONAL PROPHETIC PRAYER CONFERENCE (IPPC) of Prayer City. They had solely sponsored the first Solemn Assembly in the Obong's palace and also formed the secretariat of CACAM.

It was this movement that prompted the commemoration of the arrival of the first Missionaries to Calabar on the 10th April 1846. This commemorative occasion was held on the 10th April 2005, after a period of 159 years.

An excerpt from the conclusion of a communique made after the 'Solemn Assembly' of 1st Jan 2005 reads ........"our goal is to move our people from 'among the', to 'the very' best. This is our divine destiny and there is no stopping us in Jesus' Name. Amen."

We therefore invite all Efik sons and daughters within and without to arise out of slumber and to reach out to fulfil our destiny by HIS GRACE. The Natural Kingdom under the rulership of the Efik throne, was one of the six that were conglomerated into the confederation today known as Nigeria , and significantly provided this nation with its first capital city and many other "firsts". We therefore owe this nation the duty of trail blazing a culture of Love, Life and Light solidly founded upon the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

God bless us all abundantly in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
